Highly recommend

My daughter really loved her camp. She was quite excited to share all her art work with us. She learned about different techniques of painting and craft work. I highly recommend the camp for kids who love to experiment with art!!

Eager to try these recipes at home

My son came home from Culinary Camp and is eager to try these recipes at home, and my other son in Mad Science is ready to install the bird feeder in the backyard and know what seeds to select to attract his favorite birds.

Bursting with excitement

Both my kids absolutely loved their camps at Harbourfront Centre and were bursting with excitement for the entire time they were there. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you Harbourfront Centre — we'll see you next year!

Great option for young and older kids

My son spent four weeks at various summer camps and the programming is so varied he was never bored, and he especially learned water sports skills and safety. If you live or work in the downtown core, it's a great option for both young and older kids.

First-time camper

Our first Harbourfront Centre Camps experience was wonderful! Our 4-year-old first-time camper jumped off the bus at the end of each day full of stories about friends, games, and her camp leader. She is eager to return to camp next summer!

Most enthusiastic camp counselors

My son attended Canoe and Basketball camp. He had a blast at both and enjoyed the counselors. He has attended other camps and, by far, Harbourfront Centre has the most enthusiastic camp counselors, is the most organized (the parking arrangement is wonderful) with good security. I would recommend it to anyone.

TheatreKids

My kids had an awesome time at TheatreKids Camp. I was truly amazed at how wonderful the play was with only one week of practice. The best part was that, right away, my kids said that they really wanted to go back again.

Circus, Fashion and Theatre!

I participated in three camps: Circus, Fashion and Theater. I loved them because the instructors where very experienced and knew a lot about the thing they where teaching. All three camps challenged me because they taught me things I didn't know in many fields. For Circus it is my second year and I am in the advanced group, I do really cool things. I gained many new friends throughout the summer. For sure I will come next year again.

OUR KIDS review of Harbourfront Centre Camps

our take

Some camps are up north, in the bush, away from the all the hustle and bustle of the city, and one of the great strengths of the Harbourfront Centre programs is that it isn’t: it’s nearby, close to all of the resources of the city. Because of that, it offers a greater range of activity that you’ll find anywhere, including everything from theatre arts, to sports, to digital storytelling, and on and on. The staffing benefits from the proximity to the city, with instructors bringing a rich range of experience and expertise. Campers enroll within areas of interest, and in so doing enter a setting of peers who share that interest, an experience that in itself can be transformative. Most of the programs are day programs, though not all are—there are overnight options as well, including during the March break. There are PA day sessions as well. Now entering their fourth decade, the Harbourfront Centre programs are as established as any you’ll find anywhere, inclusive of a unique culture and approach to learning, doing, and having fun.
