The Trusted Source for Families since 1998.
Since 1979 Harbourfront Centre Camps have fostered an inclusive learning community that encourages lasting connection to contemporary arts, culture and ideas within Toronto. Our campers are invited to join us for a March Break and Summer filled with new experiences, learning opportunities, and a safe space to develop critical life skills.
The 2020/21 Experience at Harbourfront Centre Camps
The health and safety of our employees and campers is our top priority. We have implemented the following to ensure the campers have a safe and fun experience:
Screening: Participants and Staff will be screened at the beginning of each day and those who are showing signs of COVID-19, who have had close contact with someone who has symptoms or a probable case of COVID-19, or who have travelled outside of Ontario within the last 14 days are not permitted to participate in this program.
Cohorts: Campers will be kept in cohorts within their camp, the size of the cohort is determined by provincial and municipal COVID-19 guidelines. Staff are exempt from cohort restrictions. Camps taking place in large venues may have a second cohort in the same venue, with strict physical separation and barriers between the cohorts.
Enhanced Cleaning: We have increased our cleaning schedule and will be disinfecting high- touch and high-traffic areas multiple times a day.
Physical Distancing: We will follow all relevant provincial and municipal COVID-19 guidelines.
Masking: Masks are mandatory within all Harbourfront Centre buildings, or if program participants are less than 6 feet apart outside.
These policies are subject to change at the sole discretion of Harbourfront Centre.

Some camps are up north, in the bush, away from the all the hustle and bustle of the city, and one of the great strengths of the Harbourfront Centre programs is that it isn’t: it’s nearby, close to all of the resources of the city. Because of that, it offers a greater range of activity that you’ll find anywhere, including everything from theatre arts, to sports, to digital storytelling, and on and on. The staffing benefits from the proximity to the city, with instructors bringing a rich range of experience and expertise. Campers enroll within areas of interest, and in so doing enter a setting of peers who share that interest, an experience that in itself can be transformative. Most of the programs are day programs, though not all are—there are overnight options as well, including during the March break. There are PA day sessions as well. Now entering their fourth decade, the Harbourfront Centre programs are as established as any you’ll find anywhere, inclusive of a unique culture and approach to learning, doing, and having fun.
My kids had an awesome time at TheatreKids Camp. I was truly amazed at how wonderful the play was with only one week of practice. The best part was that, right away, my kids said that they really wanted to go back again.
My son attended Canoe and Basketball camp. He had a blast at both and enjoyed the counselors. He has attended other camps and, by far, Harbourfront Centre has the most enthusiastic camp counselors, is the most organized (t... Read More
Our first Harbourfront Centre Camps experience was wonderful! Our 4-year-old first-time camper jumped off the bus at the end of each day full of stories about friends, games, and her camp leader. She is eager to return to ... Read More

Since 1979, Harbourfront Centre Camps have fostered an inclusive learning community that encourages long-lasting connections to contemporary arts, culture and ideas. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and diverse community that allows our campers to learn and interpret the world through dialogue, social interaction and hands-on activities.
For the third year in a row, we will be linking our programming to Harbourfront Centre’s BRAVE festival. Our theme of INSPIRATION will be used to help shape the camper experience. Campers will engage with concepts such as: What inspires you? Who inspires you? How can you find inspiration? What does it mean to try something new and go outside your comfort zone?
For the 2020 season, we have several new camps: Senior Chess, Stop Motion Animation, Senior Arts: Advanced Drawing, Basketball, Emerging Artists: Arts in the 6ix, and many more!
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to anotheroutstanding year of fun, diverse, dynamic and creative programming at Harbourfront Centre Camps!
Harbourfront Centre is a registered charity and not-for-profit organization. By sending your children to our camps, you are supporting all of the outstanding programs and events thatHarbourfront Centre offers year-round.

"Everyone loved everything about camp"
"He had a fantastic time and always enjoys the great counselors and activities"
"My son absolutely loved the Camp. He went for one week without a friend and could not have been happier. I found everything about the process easy."
"All the programs were fantastic. They loved the variety of activities that were planned each day, the counselors were very helpful and fun."
"He loved the whole experience and talked for weeks after about coming back."
"My son had a great time at canoe camp - he spoke highly of his counselors and the activities"
"She LOVED her Camp experience. She thought it was a good mix of fun and challenge"
"Totally loved it. Wished they had started coming 2 years earlier (their own words)."
"My son loved his counselors. The two counselors had a huge impact on my son. I cannot even begin to describe it. I had registered him for 2 weeks and he asked for one more week to be with these two incredible young men. As a parent, I am thankful that he had the opportunity to spend time with these two. Very positive influence!!"
"My daughter came home every afternoon speaking very highly of her camp counselors."
"Yes, so much! Everyday we picked her up was "the best day ever"."
"The choice of camps for older children was amazing! I had trouble looking for things to do this summer with my new 14 year-old and Harbourfront Centre Camps gave her an opportunity to DO something instead of just sit at home. There was an amazing variety and I was so pleased to have been told by my friend! I find most camps only focus on younger children but kids between the ages of 10-14 need to be active and stimulated too. Thank you for making her summer all that much more interesting during the day when parents need to be at work."
"She had a wonderful time, and is already looking forward to going next summer."
