Camp Kandalore helps kids know and be themselves while thriving in an outdoor environment that is fun, caring, and challenges campers to grow. Our camp experience provides an opportunity to build self-esteem, independence, care and respect for others. Our parents see great value in the social and emotional growth that our campers return home with at the end of their camp stay.
Our incredible staff love helping our campers develop their skills over the course of the summer. The campers find so much pride when finally accomplishing a skill they have been working so hard to achieve. Whether they hit their first bullseye in archery, mastered their J stroke at canoeing, completed their first deep water roll in kayaking or learned how to get up on waterskis – each day brings new challenges and new accomplishments.
Acceptance. Belonging. Connection. These values define Kandalore’s staff culture. Our team is passionate about helping campers discover themselves and the outdoors. What makes our staff unique is their deep connection to Kandalore, about 90% have grown through our ranks, from camper to Leader-in-Training to staff member. This continuity creates a strong sense of community and care. When we welcome new staff, we ensure they bring the right qualifications and, most importantly, a genuine commitment to our campers. All staff provide a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, and counsellors hold Bronze Cross lifesaving and First Aid certifications. Our diverse, skilled team inspires growth and creates an environment where
