Bronze Star is the pre-Bronze Medallion training standard and excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion. Pre-Requisites: None (Swim Patrol Experience is recommended).
Bronze Star develops swimming proficiency, lifesaving skill and personal fitness. Candidates refine their stroke mechanics, acquire self-rescue skills, and apply fitness principles in training workouts. Bronze Star is excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion and provides a fun introduction to lifesaving sport.
Choose from Bronze Star OR Bronze Star + Basic First Aid. Classes run 1x per week for 30-90 minutes depending on the program. Basic First Aid includes how to contact emergency medical services, rescue breathing, how to treat choking and minor injuries.
