Led by mature, trained summer staff, your child will learn and grow within a supportive community. They will challenge themselves through our traditional and adventure activities.

At Medeba, our intentionally small summer camp community is built upon decades of experience to bring young people into the heart of how adventure and community can be a tool of great learning and fun! Sitting on close to 200 acres, Medeba has been the choice for parents since our founding in 1952. Over 70% of our campers return each year. Medeba is set apart by our extensive safety management protocols, our emphasis on adventure activities, while mixing in all of the traditional summer camp fun that children can choose each day for themself. Medeba has dozens of well kept activities, incredible facilities and a food service that goes above and beyond and will help your child feel at home no matter their dietary needs.

Registration Details
Registration is open for summer 2025. Registration can be made by going to our website and clicking Register Now. This will take you to a page titled my.medeba which is our registration platform. My.Medeba walks you through the process including application and paperwork. Upon receiving your application through my.medeba, our office manager will contact you to confirm availability, payment and any other information prior to confirming your enrollment in the program. You can also call or email our office for assistance in the registration process. Cancellations made more than one month prior to the program start date will get a full refund less a $50 cancellation fee. Other cancellation policies can be seen on our website.

Director's Message
We are looking forward to serving your family this summer. We are committed to providing a positive, impacting experience. I am so convinced of the value of the Medeba experience that I guarantee it. If you are not completely satisfied, I will make it right or refund your money.
Staff and Counsellors
Medeba strives to equip your children with highly trained, mature leaders with a passion to see children grow. Medeba as a Christian camp has a year round team with over 100 years of combined leadership experience that families trust. Medeba places an emphasis on training our highly skilled summer staff through our 10 day staff training, we also ensure that our staff are reputable in their communities and are vetted through Criminal Record Checks and references to ensure your children are surrounded with people they can trust. Most of our staff return for more than one summer.Medeba has leadership programs that help our staff use adventure to help your campers out of their comfort zone, learn and have fun in the process!

More details about property: We are blessed with a 200 acre property in the Halliburton Highlands. Our accommodations, other buildings and activity facilities will exceed your expectations. Much of Medeba has been rebuilt and constructed in the last 20 years.

More details about accommodations: Campers stay in our year-round cabins complete with carpet, generous operable windows and cubbie space for each camper. Our central washroom facility are complete with flush toilets showers and sinks are spacious and bright.
Are meals provided? Yes.
Is Medeba Summer Camp technology free? Yes. Community is developed through observing and participating in relationships and environment. The most effective community is created when campers are fully engaged in every aspect of the camp program. And so, we ask that campers disengage from external social networks and take a break from personal electronic devices while at camp.

With approximately 200 acres of property in a near wilderness setting, Medeba has first-rate facilities and extensive adventure-based activities that are designed to build community, trust, cooperation, and teamwork. Using adventure and community as teaching tools is our passion and we want to facilitate an experience that goes above your expectations.
Adventure Learning
The first goal of our school programs is to help students develop patterns of behaviour that enable them to be effective community members and well balanced individuals. Adventure Learning allows change in students' lives to occur naturally.
Community
The second goal of our school programs is to model and demonstrate the benefit of being in an effective community, to stimulate learning and growth. We believe that healthy communities, once developed, will promote individual wellbeing.
Outdoor Recreational Activities
Finally, we want our school programs to introduce young people to unique recreational activities that they could adopt as part of a healthy lifestyle. They are exciting, non competitive and environmentally sensitive.Associations

I am recommending Medeba Camp in Haliburton. Three of my grandchildren went this past summer and had a wonderful experience. There are so many activities to choose from and the cabins are new and beautiful! I suggest anyone who wants an exciting time this summer 2012 to call early and sign up for the different events!

My first experience was 20 years ago as a camper (and I fell out of my bed twice that week!) and now I've been here for over 3 years and it's been quite the journey!
