It’s great for my girl to learn more about health, science, and biology from their discovery program. She gained knowledge and had fun during camp! I do plan to send her back in the summer of 2024 to learn more about the human body and potentially other subjects that Medics Camp has to offer! It’s really great to see her happy face in the pictures, and that she’s happy going and coming back from camp every day. I really appreciate what this summer camp has to offer!
The reason why I chose this camp was because the subject is new for us, and it’s different than the other summer camps that my girl went to before. The location is also pretty good and close to home. We really appreciate what this camp has to offer for her to experience!
This camp provides some health-related topics that my girl never experienced, so I thought it’s a great exploring opportunity. She enjoyed making something that’s subject-related, and taking it home to show us what she learned! Overall I liked how they have activities and something to take home every day from camp, for parents to better understand what the kids have learned.
For last year's camp, she went with her good friend, so they had great times together and strengthened existing friendships. On top of that, she said she had great times learning and playing with the counsellors. All the people I’ve met, during drop off and pick up were nice. My girl did not mention any bad bullying/inclusion-related incidents.
There were different topics every day from the discovery camp. One day she learned about the heart, another day about teeth, and another day about lung, etc. Each day, she came home with a craft/artwork related to the topic and it looked cute and fun! It is great she gained knowledge each day after camp and shared it with me!
Each day at drop off and pick up, the staff is pretty organized, and there are a lot of helpers around! I especially appreciate that they are willing to take some of my girls pictures for me per my request, and send them my way for review so that I can better understand her day, and see what she’s doing at camp!
This is a great learning experience and a very different and unique subject compared to other camps like art/dance/craft and other related areas. Remember on the last day of camp, to stay behind and use their doctor’s outfit as, backdrop for some pictures! There is nothing that I wish I knew before sending them to camp. I truly appreciate all the support from this camp!
