This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Curiosity: Medics Camp is an accredited STEM program that encourages curiosity and questions with a learner driven program and hands-on age based activities.
  • Creativity: Our Medical STEM program encourages creativity and problem solving with educational and engaging hands-on activities.

Discover the world of medical science, health and the human body.  Learn about the skeletal system and then examine x-rays and apply splints, casts and slings.  Hunt for germs and test your handwashing skills.  Understand how medications and vaccines work and write a prescription on your own Rx pad.  Learn about the heart and cardiovascular system and then using real medical equipment  take vital signs.  Find out what a blood type is and hold a mock blood drive.  Observe a heart dissection.  Examine how our lungs work and understand various breathing emergencies like choking and how you can help.  Learn basic first aid skills and when to call 911.
