March Break is a time where kids get to have a break from school, but that doesn’t mean they need a break from learning.
Brick Works Academy is offering kids a fun and exciting March Break Camp for kids ages 7 – 14.
While hanging out with their friends can be fun, imagine a week of exploring the world of LEGO Robotics. If you have a child or teen who loves science, technology and LEGO, this March Break Camp is perfect for them!
LEGO Robotics, and being a LEGO Robot Designer, is a fun way for kids and teens to learn mechanical design, construction and programming skills and teamwork, as they’ll work with each other to complete their tasks.
Throughout the week, they’ll design and build robots complete with motors and sensors, all made with LEGO. Then, they’ll learn how to program their robots to move, make different sounds and react. Finally, at the end of the week, the robots will be put to the test and the kids can see how their robots fare in a Sumo battle!
This March Break Camp is appropriate for beginners to more experienced builders. Fully-certified, trained teachers will teach your children about LEGO Robotics in a safe and fun environment. Their March Break Camp will be hosted at St. James Anglican Church in Cambridge. Waterloo children will not be left out as they are also running summer camps in the city of Waterloo.
The best way for a child or teen to learn is combining education and learning with hands-on fun and creativity. Besides LEGO Robotics, we will also be enjoying LEGO movies, playing LEGO games, as well as building in Minecraft! Each child also goes home with a Brick Works Academy T-shirt!
