Waterloo kids spend the summer making Lego Movies!

Most children love going to the movies, and if they love LEGO, they probably watched the recent blockbuster hit “The LEGO Movie” where LEGO characters are brought to life in their first-ever adventure on the big screen!

If they loved this movie, imagine how much they’d enjoy creating their own LEGO movie in a fun and enriching camp environment.

Brick Works Academy in Waterloo, Ontario, has a summer camp program that runs in both Waterloo and Cambridge.

This exiting summer program, called LEGO Stop Motion Animation, gives children the opportunity to write, direct and animate their own blockbuster LEGO movie, using LEGO characters and sets they design, build and create themselves.

They also offer various LEGO Robotics programs for LEGO robot designers ages 6 –14, as well as a Minecraft Builders Gamer Camp.

The LEGO Robotics programs offers children the opportunity to design, build and program their own LEGO Robots, and learn how to use computer programming to make their LEGO robots come to life.

For the first time this year, the programs will include utilizing the robots in space exploration simulation challenges, such as helping to sustain a Mars outpost!

Your children will love meeting new friends and learning new skills in a fun and safe environment surrounded by certified teachers. They’ll also leave with a Brick Works Academy T-shirt to remember their experience!
