“According to current projections, there will be a shortage of more than 200,000 information and communications technology (ICT) workers in Canada by 2020.”
However, when a kid learns computer game programming they are learning more than IT!
Ultimately IT is about using a computer, but programming is about how computers work at the root level. So our educational philosophy is about allowing kids to learn IT on their own by playing video games and come to our classes to learn how to program games. RP4K channels the love of video games into a thirst to learn computer programming. It works. Kids learn programming best when they’re programming a game! Obviously, it’s better if we can get kids to play video games less and program video games more.
After running our program for over 17 years we now see ex RP4K students running their own video game firms.
