Real Programming 4 Kids is always developing new game programming courses. We have 12 different courses, for various ages from 7 to 17 years old, and for various student experience levels from Beginner to Elite.
During summer 2015, RP4K will be introducing a new Elite C++ course, programming a 2D RPG Game Engine!
This will be offered to students that have taken our Advanced C++ Haunted Harbour course.
This course focuses heavily on game industry standard programming practices (such as version control) and uses the most popular programming language in the game industry, C++.
Modern game engines are composed of millions of lines of code, thousands of man-hours, and over their lifetimes cost millions of dollars to build and maintain: Creating even a rudimentary game engine is a daunting task. However, it is one of the most rewarding, enlightening and humbling programming endeavors, demanding all of one’s programming skill, knowledge and experience.
