Transfer day with Academic Camp Canada
What is transfers?
We have transfer days which are days you are able to arrive or depart from camp. You will either be part of our travel group in the accompanied flight or have organized your own travel to British Colombia. If you are travelling by flight it is important that your flight arrives into either Victoria or Vancouver international airport. Our friendly member of staff will be waiting for your arrival ahead of an exciting Summer in Canada! However if you are travelling it is important for you to tell us no later than 2 weeks before the start date of your course. We will organise a safe transfer for you direct to the college, if you need anything or have any problems feel free to ask any of our friendly team of staff who will be with you.
When is transfers?
The date applicable for you will depend on how many weeks your course is for, you can find this on your confirmation letter.
For the days of arrival will be the 21st July and the departure day will be the 11th August.
When should I book my flight for?
You book your flights for the transfer dates above. It is important to take note if you arriving into Vancouver airport: if arriving into Vancouver International Airport only: For arrival on Saturday 21st July student's flights must arrive into Vancouver before 17:00pm local time (Pacific Standard Time). For departure Saturday 11th August students flights must be booked to depart after 12:30pm local time (Pacific Standard Time). This is to allow time to get ferry to and from Vancouver, as the ferry is not 24 hours.
What documents do I need to travel with?
As per any international travel you will require your passport or international ID card. To enter Canada you will also need to bring a copy of your birth certificate. It is important you bring the form signed by your parents called the ‘parental consent of travel form’ and a copy of your parent’s passports who sign the document. You should also bring the confirmation letter we sent to you after you applied to the course.
