Look at whether camps are members of the Alberta Camping Association (ACA), a provincial organization that represents organized summer and youth camps throughout the province. Each member camp goes through the ACA’s Standards and Accreditation program, which includes a formal accreditation visit once every three years covering all aspects of camp operations. Parents should also be aware that many non-member camps also offer excellent safe and well-run programs that meet or exceed standards of the ACA
