Explorers Bio Bob Camp

BIO BOB (EXPLORERS: AGES 13-16)

This introduces campers to molecular biology and all things Bio Bob, the legendary Ridley Biology teacher. Campers will explore how genes interact with environmental factors to shape living organisms. Through hands-on lab experiments, they’ll learn DNA extraction, gene mapping, and basic genetic engineering techniques. Each day introduces concepts like genetic variation, adaptation, and biotechnology’s role in solving real-world problems. Participants will also discuss ethical questions surrounding genetics and environmental science. By the end of the week, they’ll have a deeper understanding of how molecular biology impacts our lives and the world around us.Cost: $525 per week

Ridley College's Day Programme provides children and young adults with exciting, challenging and inspiring experiences. Participants are encouraged to accept new challenges, take risks and develop grit and resilience. Each programme emphasizes individual skills development,  thinking outside the box, cooperation, participation, and most importantly, fun!

• Due to increased allergy and dietary restrictions, we are unable to accommodate snacks. Campers are encouraged to bring their own peanut-free snacks.

Daily Schedule & Costs

Day Programmes run from 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. each day, with optional before care from (7:30am to 8:30am) and after care (from 4:00p.m. to 5:30p.m.). The cost of our Day Programme offerings per week is $450, unless otherwise noted. Credit card payment is required to complete registration.
