A Summer Figure Skating Experience for Pre-Podium & Podium Pathway Athletes

This summer, Ridley College invites competitive figure skaters to take part in an immersive figure skating camp designed to elevate performance, build confidence, and create unforgettable summer memories. Set on Ridley’s historic campus in St. Catharines, this camp blends world-class training with a vibrant and supportive summer lifestyle. Throughout the camp, athletes will train up to three hours each day on the ice, guided by Ridley’s coaching faculty and expert guest specialists. Sessions emphasize technical refinement in jumps and spins, quality of skating skills, power, flow, and performance components. Small-group coaching ensures athletes receive individualized attention, while program development sessions help them strengthen the artistry, detail, and confidence needed to compete at any level.

Off the ice, skaters take part in a range of classes that support their development as complete athletes. Strength and conditioning, flexibility training, dance, mental performance, and off-ice jump workshops provide the foundation for long-term progress and injury prevention. Nutrition and wellness education round out the program, giving athletes the knowledge and habits that support high-performance lifestyles.

From the moment athletes arrive, they are welcomed into a community that understands elite sport and the commitment required to excel. With a carefully structured daily schedule that balances high-performance development with overall well-being, skaters can focus entirely on their growth, both on and off the ice.

DAILY TRAINING

Skaters will train in a structured, professionally supported environment designed to accelerate progress in a short time frame.

On-Ice Training (Up to 3 Hours Daily)

• Technical development in jumps, spins and skating skills
• Edge quality, power and flow enhancement
• Short programme and free programme component refinement
• Specialized sessions for Pre-Podium and Podium Pathway athletes
• Workshops with elite guest coaches and industry specialists

Off-Ice Training

• Strength and conditioning
• Dance, movement and flexibility
• Jump technique and harness work
• Mental performance, visualization and goal setting
• Injury prevention, nutrition education and athlete wellness

Our Boarding Programme includes:

• Immersive cultural and language experience through activities on campus and excursions to the local region during evening and weekend guided trips and activities.
• Explore the magic and wonder of the Niagara Region, including Niagara Falls, through exciting local excursions on weekends and evenings.
• Visits to downtown Toronto and Canada’s Wonderland amusement park.
• Live comfortably on our beautiful campus, 24 hours supervised by qualified and experienced boarding staff.
• All-inclusive package (shared accommodations in a Ridley boarding house, three healthy meals daily, snacks, all programme fees, excursions)
• A safe and secure campus with 24/7 access to Ridley security with cameras installed to ensure camper safety.
• Ridley’s kitchen can safely accommodate a variety of dietary needs and restrictions.

• Camp Ridley does not include flights, custodianship fees, travel documents or spending money. We recommend students bring $300 to $500 for personal spending.
