
Prerequisite
Minimum 13 years of age or Bronze Star certification. (need not be current), Swimming skills to aLSS Swim 6 or Seal Star 9 equivalent.
Candidate Recognition
Bronze Medallion award crest, medal and certification card (valid 24 months).
Materials
The Canadian Lifesaving Manual, a pocket mask, and training first aid kit are included with course registration
Bronze Medallion Course
After the course candidates must take the *New* Basic First Aid course before taking the Bronze Cross course.

Emergency First Aid is now Basic First Aid
Candidates must take the *New* Basic First Aid course, (8 hours)
Covering the following:
-Covers recognition and response to cardiovascular emergencies including CPR, Choking, Heart Attack, Stroke, and External Bleeding for all ages.
-Focuses on common injuries and shock management.
-Aims to increase confidence in managing emergency situations.
-Provides general knowledge of first aid principles.
-Serves as a prerequisite for the Bronze Cross award
