Research Skills & Dinosaurs Summer Camp

SLI's Research & Dinosaurs Summer Camp provides students with the opportunity to strengthen academic skills while exploring research, scientific inquiry, critical thinking, discovery, and prehistoric life in a supportive full-day summer camp environment.

Each morning, campers participate in mathematics reinforcement and enrichment, English language arts development, and age-appropriate exploration of research, investigation, critical thinking, and communication skills. Activities are designed to encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, organization, problem-solving, and confidence.

Students have opportunities to investigate topics of interest, explore methods of gathering and organizing information, develop observation and communication skills, and participate in research-based experiences appropriate to their age group, interests, and experience level. Depending on age, readiness, and interests, activities may incorporate a combination of hands-on, digital, and inquiry-based learning experiences.

Afternoon programming focuses on dinosaurs, prehistoric life, paleontology, and scientific discovery through engaging learning experiences designed to promote curiosity, creativity, investigation, and collaboration. Students explore topics related to fossils, prehistoric environments, scientific evidence, and our understanding of life in the distant past through age-appropriate activities and discovery-based experiences.

In addition to academic and enrichment programming, students enjoy a balanced summer camp experience that includes themed activities, creative projects, team-building experiences, indoor and outdoor games, recreation, and social interaction.

Our program is designed to support a wide range of learners through differentiated activities, small group instruction, and individualized support provided by experienced educators.
