OUR KIDS review of St Clare's, Oxford

This is no ordinary summer school. Students build English skills, explore academic interests, and gain confidence and independence on campus at Oxford. The transformative experience of student travel is a significant byproduct. Courses include programmes for juniors aged 9 to 15 where students build academic English and STEM skills in a supervised residential experience; programmes for teenagers aged 15 to 17 where students explore specialised or advanced courses including Interactive English, IB Introduction, Business & Entrepreneurship, Science, Design, and Eco-innovation; and short courses: student group experiences organized around the group's collective goals. The outstanding appeal (need we say) is summertime at Oxford University. Students get to live and study in the same halls once frequented by Stephen Hawking, Indira Gandhi, J.R.R. Tolkien, Margaret Thatcher, and Albert Einstein. Museums, libraries, and galleries dot the landscape. The gravity of history is palpable. It's a guided first step into global education that could be momentous and life-altering for anyone fortunate enough to be able to take part.
