This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Courage: Debate provides a platform for individuals to develop courage by confronting fears related to public speaking, defending positions, facing challenges, handling pressure, and accepting feedback. Through repeated exposure to these experiences, debaters can build confidence and resilience, empowering t
Interpersonal skills: Debate offers a structured environment for honing interpersonal skills such as active listening, empathy, respectful communication, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and confidence-building, all of which are invaluable in personal and professional interactions.

Debate Camp offers a one-week high-energy, low-stakes and welcoming environment to learn and develop public speaking and debate skills. Our program in parliamentary debate, speech and Model UN has operated across Canada since 2002, and we are again happy to bring our team back to Calgary and the area. Persuasion, confidence and an ability to diplomatically engage in opposing views are all core skills developed at Debate Camp. Those, and some super memories of an engaging and fun-filled week!

Aftercare is available for campers ages 4-11 years for a fee.
