We are a unique academic day program just steps from the University of Toronto. Designed for students ages 4–16, our weekly camps run throughout July and combine project-based learning with real-world exploration. Each week features themed, hands-on experiences—from designing future cities to tackling global challenges—where students collaborate, build, and present their ideas. Campers explore Toronto through guided excursions to cultural institutions, public spaces, and learning hubs, using the city itself as a classroom. We are an academically enriched program that brings together students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn beyond the traditional classroom.

Families choose Keystone for a unique combination of academic enrichment, small-group experiential learning, and exploration using Toronto as a classroom. Rather than traditional summer school or camp activities, our program is grounded in project-based learning, where students tackle real-world challenges, collaborate in teams, and present their ideas each week. Students don’t just learn concepts, but experience them through curated excursions and city-based inquiry. We help students discover new passions while cultivating critical thinking and curiosity, empowering them to build skills in leadership, communication, and innovation that extend far beyond summer.

OUR KIDS review of Keystone Camps

Keystone Camps are the right choice for curious, motivated kids who want intellectual challenge during summer without giving up the fun of summer camp. Small-group settings, a diverse mix of students, and emphasis on leadership and communication give Keystone a singularly outward-looking character. Summer School programs also provide students with off-school enrichment that’s active, creative, and exploratory, with options for students from Grades 6 through 12.
Summer Discovery Camps' theme-based, practical learning helps kids focus on their future, combined with global awareness. Students build models or create projects, then present them at week’s end. Field trips to places like City Hall, Evergreen Brick Works, MaRS, and the Toronto Railway Museum give programming a powerful real-world aspect. Project-based learning, exploration, and presentations make camps more like a mini innovation lab than a standard day camp. As with Keystone School, kids and teens who thrive in a diverse, academically invigorating setting will love Keystone's Camps and Summer School.

    Director's Message

    Keystone Camps, Rachel Shiderman, Principal
At Keystone Camps, we believe that summer is an opportunity for students to explore, create, and discover new ways of thinking about the world around them. Our programs are designed to spark curiosity and build confidence through meaningful, hands-on experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom.

Each week offers a unique lens for learning - whether students are experimenting with textiles and sculpture, creating art from the natural world, designing future cities, or developing entrepreneurial ideas. Across all of our programs, campers are encouraged to ask questions, take creative risks, and engage deeply with their ideas. From artistic exploration to STEM challenges and global problem-solving, our goal is to nurture both imagination and critical thinking.

A key part of the Keystone experience is learning by doing. Campers build, test, design, and present their work, developing collaboration and communication skills along the way. Our field trips and real-world connections further enrich this experience, helping students see how their learning applies beyond camp.

Led by passionate educators and industry professionals, our programs create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can feel a sense of belonging and accomplishment. We are committed to fostering a community where creativity is valued, effort is celebrated, and each camper is encouraged to grow.

We look forward to welcoming your child to a summer of exploration, innovation, and discovery.
