This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Self-regulation: This camp promotes self-regulation by helping campers follow routines, take turns, focus during music, craft, and movement activities, manage emotions, and practice patience and persistence in preparation for their end-of-week performance.
  • Creativity: This camp promotes creativity by letting campers explore music, movement, and crafts, experiment with instruments and stories, and express themselves through original ideas in performances and themed activities.

Welcome to Creative Music Making Summer Camp! Designed for musicians aged 9 to 13, Creative Music Making invites campers to meet where music and collaboration collide with Jeanne, experienced performer and strings teacher at TKAM!

This camp teaches note-identification, rhythm-reading, the basics of composing, plus how to write your own song lyrics! Topped off with some musical concentration games and a daily visit to the park—this week is sure to be a blast.
