With the recent extension of March Break by 2 weeks (including March 23-27 and March 30-April 3), The Maker Bean is here to support you with safe, educational and affordable options for your children during this time. We’ll have our usual great maker activities each day to spark your children’s imagination, while taking steps to address the current COVID-19 situation.

We are taking several precautions to ensure the safety of your kids and our staff, including;

  • Keeping camp sizes small: max. 15 kids at 4 tables of 4-5 kids each, with at least 1 m of distance between children
  • Ensuring all equipment, tables and chairs are sanitized before and after each camp
  • Checking for symptoms as we register each child for campAfter-care (4-5 PM) (+$10)
  • Instructing no contact between children throughout camps
  • At least 1 hour of outdoor time at Dufferin Grove Park for physical activity

We’re also aware that child care costs have been high this school year, and for that reason, we are Mon, Mar 16: Minecraft Modding & Custom Worlds:

Don’t hesitate to send along any questions to us via our contact page, and stay safe & healthy out there!

Kids also head outdoors for at least 45 minutes per day to Dufferin Grove Park (5-minute walk from The Maker Bean) for active games & fresh air.

Camp times are from 9am – 4pm each day at our 1052 Bloor Street West location, focused on kids 6-12 years old.

Daily camp topics are in development, but will reflect a mix of our core topics, including building, robotics, computer-aided design and electronics.

The following add-on purchases are available:

  • Lunch & snacks (+$15)
  • Before-care (8-9 AM) (+$10)
  • After-care (4-5 PM) (+$10)

Looking forward to having your child join us!
