This camp is designed to build the following character traits:
Creativity: Coding allows children to create new and unique applications, helping establish a platform for children to channel their creative potential. As a result, coding-related activities encourage children to employ unconventional and out-of-the-box thinking, improving their problem-solving skills.
Interpersonal skills: The process of breaking down problems into communicable parts is a skill that translates to interactions with people, too. When communicating with computers through coding, kids must first carefully consider what needs to be expressed, brainstorm the clearest way to say it, then carefully execute it
This camp will teach you how to create video games instead of just playing them. Using Scratch, an intuitive, block-based coding language, kids make exciting games while gaining the skills they’ll need to make the jump to text-based coding. Create video games that you can upload and share with friends and family!
