Pine Crest's Adventure Leadership program is truly unique, offering some of the best wilderness canoe, hiking and sea-kayaking trips in the country!  Participants in each of these programs will get to experience remote and historic routes of travel throughout the Canadian wilderness, from Northern Manitoba rivers, to Lake Superior to the iconic Algonquin Provincial Park.  Programs are based on age and level challenge:

  • Junior Adventure for 13 & 14 year olds - introductory trips from 2-4 weeks long
  • Intermediate Adventure for 14 and 15 year olds - introductory trips from 3-5 weeks long
  • Senior Adventure Leadership for 16 year olds - Intermediate trips from 5 - 7 weeks long

Participants will receive exceptional instruction from trained staff on the technical skills needed to travel and camp in wilderness environments safely.  Additionally, the trips will be used as a tool to teach about leadership skills like group dynamics, communication, self-confidence and resilience - making sure every participant is not just a happy camper but also has the skills to contribute to their home, school and community.

Participants will arrive at camp and spend a couple days learning the necessary skills for a trip of this nature.  Pine Crest will take all participants to the trip location.  Once on the trip campers will have the opportunity to practice their skills as a leader of the day and hone their technical skills. Trips may include lake-water canoeing, white-water canoeing, sea-kayaking and/or hiking.
