Each of our camps are high-energy, hands-on learning, and include a broad exposure to a variety of topics in science, engineering, technology and math (STEM).
Camps are developed and taught by undergraduate/graduate science or engineering students, Teacher Candidates, or Ontario Certified Teachers. In-person day camp programs are from 9am to 4pm daily for four- or five-days depending on the week. Each session will allow participants to be involved in hands-on activities, participate in mentor visits, and experience lab tours.
Back by popular demand, Science Explorations at York will be running Mini-Med 2.0 this summer 2023! Junior Scientists, you'll explore topics in medicine by engaging in activities including DNA extractions, investigating laboratory techniques, performing a dissection and more. From surgery to dermatology, you will examine different methods related to the various medical professions.
Please note: This camp session complements and will have new and different experiences from Mini-Med 1.0.
Please note that the Mini-Med School 2.0 camp completes a dissection activity.
