Step into the world of ethical hacking and digital defense in this 5-day, project-based program designed for students eager to explore cybersecurity through coding. Using Java, students will build real-world tools that protect systems and data—while learning how professionals defend against online threats.
Guided by expert mentors, students will gain a deep understanding of core cybersecurity principles such as encryption, password hashing, data safety, and bot prevention. Through hands-on projects, they’ll develop practical coding and problem-solving skills, even with no prior programming experience.
Each day focuses on both theory and creation:
Day 1: Introduction to Cybersecurity and Encryption — build a Secret Message Encryptor.
Day 2: Password Hashing — create a Password Protector using SHA-256.
Day 3: CAPTCHA Creation — develop a Bot Detection Tool.
Day 4: Secure Login System — design a Login Portal with encryption and session handling.
Day 5: Final Project — combine all tools into a Cyber Shield Toolkit that showcases encryption, CAPTCHA, and secure authentication features.
By the end of the camp, students will:
Students leave with a personalized Cyber Defense Toolkit and foundational skills in cybersecurity and Java programming, preparing them for future tech challenges.
Develop the mindset of a cyber defender—analyzing, predicting, and preventing attacks.
Build tools that simulate real cybersecurity defenses.
Know how to encrypt, hash, and secure data.
Understand ethical hacking and digital responsibility.
