Coding For Little Curious Minds

This introductory Coding Fundamentals Camp is designed to help students understand the very basics of what coding is in a fun and interactive way. Through hands-on block coding activities, teamwork, and engaging discussions, students will discover how computers follow instructions and how programmers create logic step by step.

Students will start by learning to give commands to characters using simple block code, exploring how each instruction controls movement and behavior. They’ll also watch an engaging video explaining how coding connects to everyday life, introducing essential concepts such as algorithms, programs, and debugging.

Working in groups, students will collaborate to guide a character home by creating and testing their own code. This encourages teamwork, patience, and creativity while helping them understand that coding is not just about computers—it’s about problem-solving and thinking logically.

As they progress, students will begin coding tasks with specific goals, learning how to plan, test, and refine their solutions. When mistakes occur, they’ll apply debugging strategies to find and fix errors—building confidence through perseverance and resilience.
