Find a Camp
You don't have to be a pastry chef or even experienced in the kitchen to join the fun in this popular hands-on camp! Wear clothes and running shoes ready to get messy. In this sweet and tasty program, campers take home sweets, get exposed to baking techniques (i.e. measuring ingredients), proper food handling, food preparation, presentation, kitchen safety, and how to decorate a cookie, cupcake, and more! The experienced Appleby instructors will teach campers basic recipes and techniques for making cookies, breads, and how to decorate using different icing techniques.
Held in Appleby’s Dining Hall and recently renovated servery, there is a focus on safety while also promoting self-confidence and awareness in a fun and inspiring setting! The program also includes a well-rounded day with supervised outdoor activities, energizers, recreational swim time and also includes a nutritious lunch. Parents are welcome to join campers on the last day of camp to view a decorated cake showing the basics of what they learned.
