Down Syndrome camps

Children with special needs rarely get a chance to participate in many outdoor and recreational activities. Down Syndrome camps offer various activities and games to help children learn and enjoy themselves at the same time. These camps offer a safe environment with various types of special programs and an understanding of the effects of the syndrome and how children will respond to camp situations. Many typical camp activities like swimming, fishing, boating, tubing, paddle boating, horse riding, and cookouts may be part of the curricula at a Down's Syndrome camp. Therapeutic services and extra levels of supervision and medical care are provided at these camps. Sometimes, financial assistance may be available for those in need. Read more
