Since 1966, HOC has combined hockey skill development with a traditional overnight camp experience, located on Eagle Lake. A typical day combines "Best In Class" hockey training with two of our many skill based activities including Water Skiing / Wake Sports, Mountain Biking, Wall Climbing, Archery, Kayaking etc. HOC is truly “THE ULTIMATE HOCKEY AND SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE”.
The 2020/21 Experience at Hockey Opportunity Camp
As a member of the Ontario Camps Association (OCA), we will be looking to the support and guidance of the OCA Covid-19 task force, working with Public Health and the Government of Ontario to create guidelines for a safe re-opening of overnight summer camps in 2021.
Under the guidance of our health unit, one key element of our plan is opening registration based on a 50% enrollment capacity and reduced cabin capacities. This will ensure we have the flexibility to adjust to any future Public Health and Province of Ontario restrictions and physical distancing guidelines that may be implemented for the 2021 season. Capacity maximums will be re-evaluated as restrictions/guidelines are changed/updated.
International Campers: Due to the current and ongoing Canadian border restrictions, HOC reserves the right to limit camper registrations to Canadian residents only (at this time). If and when the Canadian border opens to International visitors (without quarantine restriction), registration for those campers will become available based on program availability, and at the sole discretion of HOC.
Day Programs: In consideration of limiting daily outside exposure as it pertains to the health and safety of our camp community, we have currently suspended all day programs.
Choose the right programs and sessions for your child; currently 3 programs available; 4 TBD.

Your communication is the best I have seen at any camp. Also your check-in process is outstanding!
I was very impressed with HOC from the registration to the open house day and the check in day was the most organized camp process I have ever been through. As a new family to HOC we felt really comfortable leaving our son... Read More

Camp life is the foundation that ties all of the activities and programs together at Hockey Opportunity Camp. There is magic to camp life that turns activities into experiences, cabin bunkmates into friends and young children into self-confident individuals. Our camp is about people in motion - learning, sharing and enjoying. It is a self-contained community where memories are formed by experiences shared with friends and staff. One of the features of our camp is the diversity of those living in the community. We attract children from across Canada, the United States and abroad. Developing relationships with children from around the world is an important part of our camper's experience. Our community provides campers with an opportunity to learn about each otherâs differences, but more importantly about their similarities. "There are no strangers within . . . only friends waiting to be met."
Just a quick note to let you know that my kids are hooked on HOC! My son and daughter just completed a week with you and had nothing but raving reviews. We have been involved in a number of high end Muskoka summer camps, and they don't come close to HOC. Every staff member that they interacted with was a positive influence on them. All of their activities were highly organized and enjoyed by every camper. The week flew by and they asked to stay another week when I arrived for their Saturday Scrimmage game. Well done HOC!!
Hey HOC Staff, It is very seldom that a week should go by when I don't find myself day dreaming about my time spent at HOC. Between being a camper(for what seemed like a lifetime) to becoming a counsellor(which went by way too fast), I have 12 summers of memories that I will keep with me forever. I found myself looking through the pictures of all the staff and campers on your web site and was a little sad that I can no longer take part in all of these experiences. It is amazing to think that so many of my past campers are now on staff, and that the older and more experienced staff still are able to find the time to return year after year. Enjoy your time at HOC, because even though some weeks can be tough, your summer and your time there will be over in no time.
I just want to thank everyone for making my son's first time at camp a memorable experience. He is always telling me about different stories and memories from his time with you. He really enjoyed everything, including the staff, campers, waterskiing and hockey. I loved being able to email him and the fact that you had pictures of the campers updated daily on your website was amazing. You are doing a wonderful job. You are making a difference in many children's summers and creating unforgettable memories. We will definitely be back next year and my son hopes to become staff when he is older.
