Osprey Camps is based out of Armbrae Academy, located in the downtown area of Halifax. Armbrae Academy has been offering Summer, March Break, Holiday camps and other programme opportunities for campers since 2020. We offer a wide range of signature camps and specialty camps.
We pride ourselves in small group sizes. Giving our campers the best opportunity to build relationships in a fun and interactive environment.- Special needs: Yes, mild support. A few of our campers have special needs.

OUR KIDS review of Armbrae Academy Camps & Summer Programmes
Osprey Camps by Armbrae Academy bring together fun, safety, structure, and growth. Armbrae Academy in downtown Halifax is an inviting setting built for learning. Camps and programs were launched by the school in 2020 as part of its participation in the wider community. Camps cover an array of interests, from arts and crafts to LEGO to STEM experiments for younger children, and sports, robotics, outdoor adventure, trips, and leadership‑oriented programs for older kids. A great strength of Armbrae camps is their commitment to small groups, ensuring that every child can build great relationships with each other and with the caring, deeply dedicated staff. It’s a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports campers’ social well‑being, self-esteem, and confidence. These well-rounded day‑camp experiences balance creativity and activity with care and structure, giving kids a chance to grow, have fun, build friendships, and gain confidence.

Director's Message
Hi There,
I am excited for this new role at Armbrae Academy that is focused on expanding who we can reach and what we can offer with camps. I have been running camps for over 10 years and I am entering my third year working at Armbrae where I started as a Science and Physics teacher.
I look forward to meeting you at camp this year!
Sarah StubbsStaff and Counsellors
Our team includes teachers, university students, Armbrae students and alumni who share a passion for caring for children. Our staff and volunteers are trained to be confident performing first aid and creating safe and inclusive environments for all campers and learners.
We provide specialty programs offered by outside providers who offer educational programs for the public. -

Is your property accessible for persons with disabilities? Yes. Our staff are trained to support campers with moderate needs. If your child requires inclusion support in order to participate in the camp program, we encourage you to contact the Camp Coordinator Sarah at [email protected] to discuss what options are available.

Are meals provided? Yes. For Summer camps we offer hot lunches.
Is Armbrae Academy Camps & Summer Programmes technology free? Yes. Our staff, volunteers, and campers are not permitted to have technology at camp unless it is required for programming. The Osprey Summer Camp is well equipped with materials and toys. We request that children do not bring toys or technology from home unless specified. If toys/tech do find their way to camp, such toys will be stored and returned at the end of the day. This includes cell phones.
