
In Drone – Rescue Mission (AI Light), children become rescue engineers and drone pilots as they tackle high-stakes, mission-based challenges using Python, drone flight fundamentals, and an exciting first look at AI-inspired decision-making.
Campers learn how code connects to real-world motion as they practice safe drone flight, navigation, and Python programming basics for controlling drone behaviour. Then, students explore Machine Learning through gesture recognition, working with guided lessons and filling in key pieces to understand how training, predictions, and smart actions work (without being overwhelmed by complexity).
Each session follows a hands-on rhythm: campers learn a concept, test it in flight, debug and refine, and apply it to increasingly exciting rescue missions. The week builds toward a final Rescue Mission Showcase, where students demonstrate their missions and explain how gestures, AI predictions and Python guided the drone movement.
