Participants learn about Canada’s participation in the First World War, with a particular focus on the remarkable story of Vimy. Through hands-on workshops, students learn the full extent to which the Battle of Vimy Ridge changed our nation forever. Participants decode battlefield maps, discover the contributions of women on the home front, learn about the importance of rationing during wartime, find out if they are fit to be a soldier, and so much more! Sponsored by The Vimy Foundation, this week includes visits to the Canadian War Museum, Parliament Hill and the Diefenbunker, as well as a memorial guided tour and commemoration ceremonies.
Expand your horizons and explore the possibilities for exciting careers that you’ve never before imagined! Visit important Canadian institutions, meet famous and accomplished Canadians, develop your leadership skills and enjoy an extraordinary, bilingual experience.
