How has religion shaped the politics of our communities? In this course, we will examine religions and their effects on contemporary society while exploring the role of religion in sustaining identities across national boundaries and the impact of cultural, ethnic, and religious forces upon political behavior. You will learn about a range of communities and engage in key debates in the field. The course is comparative and interdisciplinary, drawing from the social sciences, humanities, history, and the arts.
Designed to inspire and challenge independent learners, students will complete daily modules and activities at their own pace. They will also have the opportunity to join at least two live sessions to interact and meet with their instructor and fellow peers. ESU is where students can discover a future career!
