This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together.
  • Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.

An inspiring and fun series of projects that fling the gates of creativity wide open but consistently focus on skills development and the practice of applying the principles of art, sometimes applying one or two themes to focus in and really bring forward the impact of each subject. Participants explore balance, emphasis, movement, rhythm, pattern, contrast, and unity to build strength in their ability to create a successful composition and support their creative ideas as artists. This class is led by Drawing and Painting Specialist, Veronika. All materials are included.
