A Massive March for Focus Learning

Goodness, where did the time go? It seemed like only yesterday it was January, snow was complicating all of our drives, and we were starting our Winter/Spring Term; now here we are, it’s April, and spring has sprung (or at least the snow has started to melt)!

March was very busy for us here at Focus Learning. Our team of educators and instructors have worked tirelessly to create and provide new programs and experiences all month long.

Back in February, Ms. Lisa’s C.C.C. students all participated in the University of Waterloo’s Canadian Computing Competition. This month, the contest participation continued with several of Mr. Mike’s Writing students submitting short stories into the Young Writer’s of Canada Creative Writing Contest. We look forward to hearing back from them and are searching out more contests to apply for in the future.

Additionally, on March 21st, we started our inaugural English for Adults class. This class is an opportunity for professional adults to enrich their understanding and engagement with the English language through text exploration and group discussion.

From March 11th to 15th, we had our Focus Learning March Break Camp at our North York Location, TopKids. Our teachers ran amazing activities, including building robots, creating arts and crafts, learning new technologies and games, even putting on a short play! Those five days were a nonstop whirlwind of excitement, but what stuck with us the most was how much our campers aged 6-12 all bonded with each other, regardless what program they signed up for or the activities in which they participated. This positive impact is not only wonderful for us to see, but inspirational for us in developing future camp experiences. Thanks to all of our March Break Campers for being so awesome! Bang!

We are looking forward to bringing that same quality, excitement and opportunity to our Summer Camps. Preparations are being made for the numerous programs and activities. More information about our FocusKids and FocusLeaders camps will be released in the coming weeks and months, but to get parents even more excited we have a special announcement:

Focus Learning is offering an Early Bird Discount to campers who book before April 18th (Easter Weekend). If you sign up for any of our camps that take place on a five-day week, you will get $35 off the price for that week. This offer is only applicable to weeks without a statutory holiday. Book now, as the weeks and camps this offer will be available for will fill up fast!
