Find a Camp
Focus Learning's Creative Kids started the week creating apple "smiles" with marshmallow and caramel toppings, and carried their real smiles throughout the rest of the week! After the previous week of Pan Am games and activities, campers were excited to get started on a fresh new week and theme. "Hollywood Stars" week transformed Focus Learning Centre into a movie set fit for our "famous" star campers!
While the Creative Kids were celebrating stardom, the Entrepreneurs from the week before were learning the power of persuasion. Enthusiastic Mr. Aria made a welcome return to the Focus Learning Team, after a very successful Business Camp the week prior. This week, he led the teens in games and activities geared to rev up their public speaking and debate skills. The campers, many of whom participated in Business Camp with Mr. Aria, were attentive and enthusiastic to learn more from Focus Learning's most inspirational and motivational speaker.
Ending the week with an impressive debate, campers commented that "Loved learning debating skills to destroy their friends' arguments!" After participating in the camp and debate, many students commented that they will return for Mr. Aria's Power Speaking Class on Saturdays in the Fall, too!
Campers in both groups, alongside our Summer Scholars and Technology Discovery Groups, ended the week with a celebration fit for the stars! We cannot wait to see what's up in "Splish, Splash, Sploosh" week at Focus Learning, as the camp enters it's 6th week of summer fun.
