We are known for doing one thing exceptionally well: building confident, independent learners. Unlike traditional camps, our programs are intentionally designed by educators to strengthen how children think, learn, & problem-solve. We are the only learning centre licensed to administer comprehensive cognitive testing for students, allowing us to truly understand how each child learns best. Every day blends structured academic instruction with engaging themes, hands-on activities, and outdoor time, so learning feels purposeful, not forced. Our culture is calm, supportive, & growth-focused. Children learn in small groups, feel seen, and are encouraged to stretch without pressure. Our philosophy is simple: confidence comes from understanding.

OUR KIDS review of Oxford Learning Waterloo

Oxford Learning’s focus on giving kids academic confidence is built into their camps. Students aged 5 to 11 take part in fun programming that blends hands-on activities, collaborative play, and outdoor time with learning problem-solving, math, and literacy. Small groups and a supportive environment encourage kids to grow more self-sufficient and courageous. It’s all rooted in Oxford Learning’s holistic approach to learning and personal development, where kids aren’t taught so much as coached in how to more effectively use their minds. Processing information is emphasized over memorization or repetition. For each student or camper, learning becomes more manageable, thanks to this individually-adapted approach that helps them grow more self-aware and confident.

    Director's Message

Oxford Learning Waterloo, Allison Bourke, Owner/Director
Parents choose Oxford Learning Waterloo for our personalized approach, small-group instruction, and focus on building confidence alongside academic success.

Choosing the right summer experience for your child is an important decision; one that goes beyond simply filling the day. As an educator, I understand how meaningful it is to find a program where children feel supported, engaged, and confident.

At Oxford Learning Waterloo, our camps are designed to balance academic growth with creativity, connection, and fun. Each day blends skill-building with interactive learning, helping students stay sharp while developing a more positive, confident approach to learning.

What sets our programs apart is our personalized and individualized approach. In a small-group setting, we take the time to understand how each child learns; not just what they are learning. Through our unique cognitive-based approach, typically only available through formal assessments, we focus on strengthening the underlying skills that support long-term academic success, while also building confidence and independence.

We also recognize that summer schedules are often flexible. In addition to our full-day camps, we offer structured academic programs that require just 1–2 hours per week. This is an ideal option for families who want to maintain progress while still enjoying holidays and time together.

Our goal is simple: for every child to leave feeling more capable, more confident, and ready for what comes next.

We would be delighted to be part of your child’s summer experience.

Please reach out with any questions you have or to book a visit to the centre. We have programs running year round and 6 days a week, so visits are easy to fit in.

    Warm regards,
    Allison Bourke
    Director, Oxford Learning Waterloo
