We’re gearing up for a fantastic summer full of all the arts. SummerArts Camp at Ross Creek is a program dedicated to fully engaging your child and giving them amazing new skills.
Far more than an ordinary camp, Ross Creek gives your child all the advantages of an amazing art program with the rec and atmosphere of a camp all on an incredible site overlooking the Bay of Fundy.
At Ross Creek we provide an amazing art day taught by professional artists and a great camp experience for kids on our 178 acres of field and forest, led by our fabulous counsellors. Whether searching for the Creekster, creating a masterpiece or making new friends, our camps have something for every kid! We offer programs in dance, theatre, music and art. Our youngest campers explore the theme of the week through a variety of arts, outdoor adventures, and skill development. Play and creative exploration are the hallmarks of our junior program, setting them up for a lifetime of magic and wonder.
July 2 (day camp)
Forest Friends
Our campers will meet our favourite Forest Friends while exploring the trails of Ross Creek with our Eco-Educator Jamie MacLean! We’ll collect natural materials from our woodland ecosystem and and make art and stories about the animals (big and small) that make this place their home.
July 3 (day camp)
It's a Bug's Life!
We’ll grab our magnifying glasses to explore the smallest creatures in our organic gardens and forests with the awesome Ian Funke-McKay. We’ll be inspired by nature to create mixed media art pieces and will use our imaginations to create our own interesting insects, parades, and stories!
July 6-10
Secret Gardens
Our youngest campers will explore the gardens of Ross Creek, read beloved stories about gardens and the shenanigans of the creatures that inhabit them, and then create their own stories and art, even using materials found in the gardens themselves! We’ll even plant our own secret garden that will grow for seasons to come!
July 13-17
In an Octopus' Garden
Explore what it’s like to live on the ocean floor! 🐚🌊🐙🦑 We’ll draw inspiration from deep-sea habitats, tides and coral reefs, and discover what new and interesting creatures can be found! Our junior campers will make stories and creatures, create a habitat in their studio and fill it with vibrant art.
July 20-24
Dynamic Dinosaurs
Step back in time with us for a week of Fossils and Fun! Junior campers will learn about all kinds of prehistoric Dinos, plants, and animals, while creating an immersive world of colour, pictures, and sculptures in their studio. They’ll create costumes, performances, and even go on a dino dig!
July 27-31
Treasure Island
X marks the spot in this week of adventure! Drawing inspiration from maps, stories, and legends, of mysterious treasure throughout the ages. We’ll create our own Treasure Island through theatre, visual art, and story-telling, and maybe even find a pot of gold!
August 3-7
Unicorns & Dragons: Oh, My!
We’ll turn our studio into a habitat for legendary creatures from around the world in this amazing week of Unicorns and Dragons! Campers will learn about art, nature, and fantasy, while exploring the studio and the forest. We’ll work together to find magical treasures, and fantastic puppets. Costumes, drawings, and more!
August 10-14
Wild World!
Create a wild world! We’ll learn about amazing creatures and their habitats, from the jungle canopy to the meadow outside our studio! Campers will draw inspiration from the sounds, sights and smells to create a variety of vibrant art projects through play, stories, theatre and visual arts.

Up, Up and Away!
Look up…Look way up! Campers will reach for the sky in this wind-filled week of play and creation. Weather, rockets, birds, and clouds, all are part of this imaginative workshop where campers create unique artworks that explore the power of the sky. It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Up, Up, and Away!
