On day one campers will experience a friendly audition to assess their strengths, and learn what goals they have for the week. Roles will be assigned to help each camper shine in their strengths, provide them a challenge, and set them on a path to learn and grow.
Then they'll head straight into rehearsals, learning blocking and lines, music and vocal work, and choreography. A true triple threat training experience - but there's no previous experience required! We'll teach you everything you need to succeed! These fast-paced sessions are fun, physical, and focussed. Whether you're learning a new skill, or honing one you've acquired, there is always a new little piece of the stage that will come alive when you practice your craft.
And speaking of crafts - campers will get the full production immersive experience as they help to create some set and prop pieces in their arts & crafts portion of the days. They'll learn that teamwork is just as important off stage as it is on stage. The technical theatre arts support the stage, and the performers support one another. Everyone's role both on and off the stage is integral to making the production come together.
At the end of each day campers will review the pieces/scenes/numbers they have learned, and slowly bring the show together for a full performance at the end of the week.
