Who are you as an organization?
At Stagecoach we aim to bring out the very best in every child through our highly regarded network of global performing arts schools. Around the world, 55,000 students aged 4 -18 years take part in our acting, dancing and singing classes each week. Our students gain musical theatre skills and develop essential skills for life.
What do you do differently or uniquely well?
"Over the years we have seen more than one million students unlock their potential, which is something they will value for their whole life.
At Stagecoach we teach our students so much more than how to sing, dance and act. We help them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all its opportunities.
With 35 years’ experience in teaching the performing arts, we understand how to get the best out of our young performers. We delight in seeing our students have fun, make friends, learn new skills and discover hidden talents.
We encourage them to take ‘safe risks’ through rehearsals and performance, which brings out a willingness to take on new challenges. "

When a program is around for over 35 years, it is a testament to its value in the community. Having taught over one million children, Stagecoach Theatre Arts is one of the best theatre programs in Canada. While the goal is to train children in the performing arts, their bigger goal is to unlock the child’s potential. What this means is that not only do kids learn to sing, dance, and act, they learn valuable life skills. One of those life skills is learning to take risks. Through rehearsals and performances, kids face their fears and channel their creative courage, coming out stronger and more confident. This isn’t a mom and pop shop–it is a world-class professional theatre arts school, originally started in the UK, with locations all over the world. Stagecoach Theatre Arts uses a four-pillar method of teaching and these are: values and culture, teaching and learning, celebration, leadership. There are many exciting opportunities to move further in theatre arts through Stagecoach, including workshops, trips, and professional performances.
