TASC's Intro to Competitive program is designed as a soft entry to the Competitive program as well as an excellent way for younger swimmers to have more of a challenge. By training twice per week for 4-6 hours, swimmers aged 11 and younger (born in 2011 or later) will develop artistic swimming skills quickly, bond as a team, and experience some competition. This program is ideal for the young swimmer who is curious about competing, who needs more of a challenge, and who wishes to have more of a team atmosphere, but who is unable to commit to the full competitive program for the upcoming season.
The Intro to Competitive program takes place primarily at U of T, with approximately one Sunday morning practice per month at the Pan Am Aquatic Centre in Scarborough.
Make new friends and bond with teammates as you train for the full season and compete together.
Learn and improve strength, endurance, agility, and flexibility through on-land training.
Swim and Dive Training
Learn and develop swimming strokes and diving techniques for efficient movement in and through the water.
Develop Artistic Swimming Skills
Learn new skills and improve technique through position drills, figures, and routine development.
At the beginning of every season, a detailed information session is held for parents whose kids are new to the program. New families will be fully equipped with everything they need for the year ahead.Visit website to register
