The 2020/21 Experience at Toronto Kyokushinkai Karate
We have pot into place rigorous COVID protection measures. It has allowed us to operate our day camps and After School programs safely without incident during the summer 2020 and during the 2020/21 school year.
-All persons entering undergo rigorous screening, waiver form, temperature check and must use our sanitizer -Participation numbers have been reduced to under 50% for all programs to ensure distancing and spacing -Our camps are run outdoors 100% of the time weather permitting other than morning drop off and pick up -We invested in our own fogger, so we completely sanitize our facility twice daily using an industrial fogger and a Health Canada approved botanical based (non chemical, hypoallergenic) food grade/safe sanitizer -We wipe down high traffic touch points regularly throughout each day -We installed Hepa UVC air filtration units in all training and common areas -Mask use is mandatory indoors at all times including training, and when distancing cannot be maintained outdoors -We have removed changing or use of change rooms other than to access toilets and sinks. We are not having the children change into karate uniforms during COVID -We have limited access to small areas (change rooms) to no more than 3 at any given timeView recent COVID-19 updates from Toronto Kyokushinkai Karate
The program is based in values as much as defence, if not more so, including self-awareness, personal development, discipline and perseverance. There’s a sense of belonging, too, that comes with participation in the programs, something that Toronto Kyokushinkai Karate rightly makes a point of capitalizing on. There’s a good flexibility to the program, with sessions offered all year long, including PA days and holidays. In that, as well as in the pick-ups from area schools, TKK operates with the parent perspective firmly in mind. Pricing is efficient and attractive, based in time spent within the facility and camp session rates rather than monthly fees. The camp sessions make good use of local resources, getting kids outside around a range of activities.
Is Toronto Kyokushinkai Karate technology free? Yes
We are an activity focussed facility, which means that for all of our programs (camps, classes etc.) we ask that kids please leave their phones and other electronic devices at home. We focus on promoting physical and skill based activities.
Cost: $239 /week

We wanted to send you a quick email letting you know that we had a great time in Montreal at the Kyokushin Karate Eastern Championship this past weekend.
We also would like to thank you for all the work you have been doing in coaching Alexander. He was very excited the whole trip, and thoroughly enjoyed participating in the event. We told him... 'just go there and have fun!' In the opening ceremony, you could see the pride in his face to be part of such a special group.
This event, the Eastern Championship, was so exciting for him, and to have won first place in his group, well, we can't tell you how proud he is and happy. As a parent, you know that the youngest often feels a sense of competition with older siblings, and this is his first big accomplishment (in his eyes, relative to his sister) which makes it all the more special to him. This was the first time that he won a trophy and he was so proud! His sister was enthusiastic for his opportunity and proud of her brother-she was rooting for him, cheering him on, and was jumping up and down when he was presented the trophy!
We always encourage our kids to be happy for others in their shining moments. In the end, the weekend was good for both kids as a learning moment!!
We also wanted to let you know that we found the event to be really well organized, and were really impressed with all the people involved in studying in the Kyokushin discipline. We saw that the experienced karate seniors, mentors and coaches in the organization support and demonstrate the values in life, as well as in the teachings.
We are so lucky to have found you to be Alexander's teacher and guide on this journey. Thank you for all your work and effort which shows in the pride and joy Alexander carries to be studying Kyokushin karate with you.
