This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Interpersonal skills: Every session centers on connection: icebreakers, guided discussions, and sharing circles. Girls practice listening, empathy, and respectful communication as the lived heart of the program, not just a lesson topic.
Courage: Becoming Her" is about social confidence, trying new things, creative expression, and engaging unfamiliar topics like guest mentor sessions. It builds the courage to be seen, share, and grow in a group.

Lavender Girls goes beyond a one-off workshop. Built on WCDL's BRIGHT and WISE framework, it turns big themes: identity, self-worth, confidence — into real conversations, not lectures. Guest mentors bring character to life through real-world topics like financial literacy, and every facilitator builds genuine relationships with the girls, not just delivers content.

Girls connect through icebreakers, work through relatable case studies on identity and decision-making, express what they're learning through creative arts activities, and hear from guest mentors on real-life skills. They leave with reflection material for home and a certificate marking their growth.

Each session flows from connection to reflection: a warm welcome and icebreaker, a core character theme explored through story and discussion, a hands-on creative activity, and a closing circle where girls share what they've learned with parent takeaways to keep the conversation going at home.
