WindReach Farm’s Acres of Fun Summer Camp is held on a 105-acre accessible farm. We offer a day camp for 7 weeks in the summer, beginning the week after Canada Day. Camp weeks run Monday through Friday (except for the holiday Monday in August) from 9 am to 4 pm. Before care is available from 8-9 am and after care is available from 4-5 pm for a small additional fee. Registration is now open for 2026 and early bird rates can be accessed up until March 31st, 2026. Our camp is ideal for kids that enjoy nature and being outdoors, in smaller groups, and around animals. Our camp has been designed for campers with disabilities but has been shown to be a popular choice for children of all ages and abilities who enjoy nature and animals.
WindReach Farm’s Acres of Fun Summer Camp is held on a 105-acre accessible farm. We provide campers with the opportunity to escape the hectic pace of life in the city and to connect with, and appreciate, the wonders of nature. We fill their days with animal interactions in our barn, at the horse stables, and around the farm, learning how to groom and care for the animals. In addition, campers will have access to our natural playground, learn about how the fleeces from our sheep are turned into wool onsite, and spend time exploring the vast, accessible property. Acres of Fun is an inclusive camp, providing a camp opportunity for campers with disabilities to access activities they wouldn’t be able to elsewhere.
WindReach Farm currently has 2 programs available; 1 TBD.

Acres of Fun camp, at WindReach Farm near Ashburn, invites children ages 6‑13 to explore life in the country, grow, and learn in a supportive rural environment. From horse grooming and hay‑wagon rides to geocaching, gardening and arts & crafts, the camp encourages curiosity, fun, and personal growth in the great outdoors. The camp was founded by the inspiring Sandy Mitchell, who overcame cerebral palsy to become a Paralympian and start WindReach Farm in the 1980s. Acres of Fun reflects Sandy’s perseverance and his commitment to community and hands-on learning, now led by Ross Ste-Croix and a staff of enthusiastic educators and leaders. Kids feel supported and cared for at this inspiring rural camp experience.
Our camp is staffed by a Camp Coordinator and a minimum of 4 camp counsellors. We always maintain a staff-to-camper ratio of 1:5 in our Acres of Fun summer camp. We always hire a Camp Coordinator who has previous camp experience and is working towards a University Education degree (or similar). Our camp is overseen by our Executive Director who has an Education degree and 10+ years working in, and overseeing summer camps. WindReach Farm is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who are responsible for the governance of the organization.
