This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Independence: Camp Belwood empowers kids to step out of their comfort zones, make choices, and take responsibility. From daily routines to skill-building activities, campers gain confidence in a supportive setting. Our new 3-night intro camps gently introduce young campers to independence.
Responsibility: At Belwood, campers forge lasting connections through team-based activities, camp-wide games, and evening campfires. The close-knit environment ensures every camper feels valued, fostering teamwork and a sense of belonging that builds community and lasting friendships

Nestled on a sunny three-acre site shared with our Camp Belwood Day Camp, YMCA Camp Belwood offers an unforgettable overnight camp experience. It's a vibrant community where campers build lasting connections, develop life skills, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Camp Belwood is a place for kids to grow in responsibility, independence, and compassion. With activities like kayaking and canoeing on the serene lake, swimming in the pool, and engaging camp-wide games, children explore their interests while making new friends in a supportive and fun environment.

We’ve listened to your feedback and made exciting updates to ensure Camp Belwood is accessible and enjoyable for all families.

Intro to Overnight Camp: For children aged 6–12, our new 3-night sessions run Monday to Thursday, offering first-time campers a gentle and affordable introduction to overnight camp. These sessions include classic camp activities tailored to help young campers build confidence and have fun.
