Who are you as an organization?
Camp Cherith Lanark is a co-ed, skills-based, interdenominational Christian camp committed to promoting biblical understanding and application to life. Campers grow in their appreciation of God's creation as they engage in traditional camp activities and learn a variety of outdoor skills with old and new friends. Skills include archery, fishing, crafts, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, music, photography, etc. Our expanded vision and reach includes children, youth, and families in both overnight and day camps, and develop Christian leaders for camp and for life.
What do you do differently or uniquely well?
"Camp Cherith is a small interdenominational para-church ministry on the Clyde River in the beautiful, secluded Lanark Highlands. We acknowledge the various distinctives and traditions of our partner churches, staff, volunteers, and camper families. Our common focus is on presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Campers discover Christ in the context of His creation, develop skills, and grow in self-confidence. We invest heavily in equipping and developing strong leaders both for camp and for life. "
Who are your staff and counsellors?
"Our multi-generational staff is a combination of volunteers, year-round workers, and young people 16+. We seek to build a team that includes a solid core of repeat staff from a variety of cultural backgrounds, experiences, and Christian affiliations. A week is set aside at the beginning of summer for staff training in our program and philosophy, to get to know one another and build our team. Staff learn how to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of campers, build healthy relationships, and help campers discover Christ in the context of His creation. "
What do families need to know about registration?
"Registration usually opens early December. Most find our website cherith.ca fairly intuitive and have no problem with the registration process. For specific questions, we monitor the email [email protected] and generally respond within 1-2 business days."
We have and will continue to follow the provincial requirements and are vigilant in following the guidelines from our local health authorities.

My 14 year old daughter attended Camp this year and was extremely pleased with her experience. She enjoyed it and learned so much about herself and what she can do in a supportive, safe, faith filled environment!
