Who are you as an organization?
Kids Bolo is on a mission to make learning Urdu easy, fun and engaging for kids living in the West. After a year of offering virtual Urdu-English classes, Kids Bolo is launching play-based summer programs for children. Both our virtual and in-person summer programs are designed for beginners and have been developed with 2 objectives in mind: (1) Kids should have fun and remain engaged through activities and games (2) Kids should get exposed to the beautiful Urdu language, at a level that resonates with them
What do you do differently or uniquely well?
"Expect your kids to have a blast with a variety of interactive activities and games that will keep them engaged and wanting more! Instead of focusing on academic learning, our play-based camp exposes children to Beginner Urdu through games and activities that are delivered in a hybrid Urdu-English model. So no matter how familiar your child is with the language, they'll be able to join in the fun!"
Who are your staff and counsellors?
"For our in-person programs, all our camp counselors are native Urdu speakers who have direct experience working with children. They will all have received First Aid training certification and have completed background checks
For our virtual programs, all our tutors are native Urdu speakers that live in the US, UK or Canada. We have ensured they all have prior experience working with children."
What do families need to know about registration?
"Registration for the summer programs is open on www.kidsbolo.com. There are limited spots available. Registration can be done via our website and parents will receive additional information by email. "

We are Pakistani-Canadians who immigrated to Toronto in our early teens. While we grew up in Urdu speaking households, we ended up speaking to each other mostly in English. It wasn’t until we had kids that the realization hit - Urdu was going to fade away if something did not change.
As parents whose children were born in the West, we felt our choice of relevant resources was limited. So we decided to create some ourselves.
Together with you, we are on a mission to empower our kids to better understand and speak Urdu through easy, fun and relatable resources such as Urdu-English books, an Urdu talking pen, Urdu Conversational Classes and Urdu Summer Camps
