Roblox Game Development for kids 9-12

Roblox is a platform that allows kids and teens to express their creativity while developing fundamental coding skills. This course will take students through different aspects of the creative process of game development. Students will combine building and coding to bring their imagination to life. Our course will teach children how to be a developer rather than a player by exploring the Roblox Studios platform. Using Roblox Studios, students will be guided on the utilization of several different creative tools and learn the Lua script coding language.

From using tools to build skyscrapers block by block to creating sophisticated user interfaces using code, the course offers a wide range of skills to students. Users can also post their creations publicly on Roblox to share with the public and friends, they can also enter other user's games to experience other people's creations. Roblox is the perfect stepping stone for your child to exercise their creativity and develop the habits and skills of a developer.

We at MCC offer two levels of learning for Roblox. The fundamental course is perfect for children who have little to no exposure to coding and will ease them into game development, they will learn the fundamentals of manipulating the Roblox Studios environment. Kids will learn how to use Lua script to create interactive and spontaneous user experiences.

Kids who want to join this course must know coding with blocks, such as Scratch or code.org
