This program is designed to build the following character traits:

Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together.

Passing through a giant forcefield, breaking through barriers of space and time, and entering an atmosphere that infuses people with superpowers that are amplifications of their true character… Waves of energy, THUNDEROUS CRACKLES and push/pull forces stretch and cramp until a character emerges. Shards of miraculous light beam from their fingertips, their body lit from within, their hair scintillating with the power of the universe …, meanwhile, back at the office of the Daily Holler news desk, staff are standing at attention looking out the wall-sized windows as the skies part, and a _______ emerges! Be the artist to fill in the blanks for any scenario you dream up in this class full of fun comic book art style projects. Illustration processes of drawing, refining, and adding colour to your work will take shape as comic book covers or poster art, short story boards, superhero design projects, whacky sidekicks, and of course the formation of a super villain. Art Instructor and MFA, Nima Arabi will guide with examples, inspiration and step-by-step support as students as they create, develop skills, and realize completed projects. All materials are included.
